Fascinating landmark in Basel, at the meeting point of three great countries: Germany, France and Switzerland. The monument is rather quiet, not much visitors as I expected. It is located close to the old city but rather far from the train station

Short tram ride from city centre then a good 15 min walk. The walk is not that exciting since you're walking past docked boats & industry along the river. Once you're there, you can see the pedestrian bridge that takes you from Germany to France....More

This is great to say you've been in three countires almost at once! Not a lot other than looking out into the Rhine and stanmding beside a point! A must do nonetheless!

The monument has the 3 flags on its side but there’s little to actually do when you get there (in February at least) and little to read. For me walking across the borders was the enjoyable and novelty part, especially walking over the bridge (200...More

You take a tram going north from the city and then walk for 10 minutes or so alongside the industrial port area to reach this point. There is a modest modern sculpture to mark the point. It is not particularly spectacular when you get there...More

I do believe Basel haven't jumped on this opportunity as much as they should. Hidden away in an industrial estate (as per the reviews said), this monument, though really lovely to look at...is ever so slightly underwhelming. It's about a 40 minute walk from Marktplatz...More

It is part of the port and freely open to everyone. It is a long walk to get there, though. It's a busy port with trains, trucks and cars coming and going. From the bridge road walk down to the river side and follow it... More
