If you are looking to see a part of Perugia near the university, this is well worth a visit. This ancient church is quite fascinating and a pleasant change-of pace from thousand year old churches. Why not see a really old one?

If people have been coming up the hill to this church for the last 1500 years, you can too. Lovely, and well worth the effort.

Quite an unusual building with original capitals and old Roman columns in a nice garden with some shade.

Lovely church. Very odd shape and very old. A peaceful spot, a lot of locals lie on the grass outside when the weather is good.

Better yet, a wonderful intimate wedding destination church. Intimate and very discrete in a perfect setting. Perugia and the local restaurants can support any wonderful meals.

This is a beautiful little historic church near Port San'Angelo. Not to be missed. Be sure to read about it's historic significance, then while you are there, take time to soak up the silence, to meditate, or pray.

The Tempio is found near the end of Via Garibaldi, near the Porto San Angelo. The interior is spare, but reminded me of the Pantheon in Rome (much smaller scale!) but with the same airy, uplifting simplicity. Closes at 6pm the days it is open.

Peace and tranquility await you in this unusually shaped place of worship. It's well worth the walk to to far side of Perugia to experience this place.
