This is one for the art historian. My wife is an artist and thought the entry price was well worthwhile, I am not and didn’t. There is so much wonderful art available elsewhere in Perugia. It would have been more interesting if there had been more information provided, the work was started and not finished by Raphael and is badly... More

Take a quick trip into this little church and gaze at a painting from one of the most well-known artists in history. Won't take too much time out of your day, only a short walk from the main piazza, and it's definitely worth your time.

If you appreciate Raphael's work, you will probably be happy. If you are a sight-seeing tourist, you might be disappointed if your group pays €3 a head to see this one partially restored artwork. Tip: if you are going to go in as a family group, send one person in first. They can give you a "yes" or "no" for... More

Part of the fun of this place, is you feel like you're discovering something others have not. It's in the "back" of old town Perugia. One of the greatest artists to ever live, Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, painted the top section of a fresco in San Severo. It's just beautiful! It is one fresco, that's it. I paid the 4... More

San Severo was off the beaten path but worth the walk with frescoes by Raphael and Perugino. It is also near a wall with a beautiful view.

By all means take the short walk from the town center to see this fine work by Raphael before he left Perugia.

There is only one room to see, but what a room! The only remaining frescoes by Raffaello in Perugia. Sublime, and in good condition - the colors of the painting are vivid. No photos allowed! Helpful descriptions in English and Italian.

We were told of this fresco by Raphael by an English couple in the National Galleria di Perugia and we walked uphill quite a ways to see it, but it was totally worth it because it is Raphael practicing to do his fresco in Rome, the Disputa. Watch out for the guy at the ticket office there; he directed several... More

Tucked away down a quiet back street just a few minutes walk from Piazza IV Novembre is San Severo where you can see the frescoes which are Raphael's only confirmed work in Perugia. I arrived just after 5 and had the place to myself. It was a treat to sit and contemplate it in peace. Cost 3 euros, with concessions.

I have to say, I expected more, especially since you have to pay to see it. It's really just a small room with a fresco from Raffaello, which isnt' even in the best shape it could be. The room is small and there's only one bench for people to sit and admire the artwork. The piece itself is beautiful and... More
