My husband and I spent the day cooking, eating, and laughing with Nonie and Tita. Nonie, from NYC, and Tita, all Italian, share their love of cooking in the beautiful surroundings of Tita's kitchen. We shared the afternoon, which went into the early evening, with another enjoyable couple. Learn from Tita's patient instruction. The meal, which we cooked, was served... More

Nonie and Tita came to the villa to teach our family tips and tricks of Italian cooking. My family loves cooking so this hands on experience on our trip to Italy was exactly what we were looking for. They were also able to accommodate my husband being gluten free. The chickpea and pasta soup is a new favorite. And who... More

We (mother and adult daughter) recently spent a delightful afternoon with Nonie and Tita at Umbria Cooks 4 U. Our vegetarian cooking class exceeded our expectations! We can't wait to prepare for family and friends the many dishes we cooked in Tita's lovely country home outside Perugia. Tita's demonstration of cooking techniques with Nonie's clear and educational commentary (in English)... More

Outstanding cooking experience with quality ingredients, friendly knowledgeable chief and especially accommodating translator. The kitchen was well designed for easy hands on participation and demonstration. The overall location was beautiful and smartly appointed. The final meal was expertly plated and the table setting made us feel as though we were in a fine dining establishment. Hats off to Chief Tita... More

We had a wonderful time cooking, laughing, and learning with Nonie and Tita. As American English speakers with little to no Italian it was great to have an American translator/teacher as part of the class. We also really enjoyed being in someone's home learning the traditional Umbrian dishes. It really felt more like a dinner among friend than a class.... More

Travelling to Italy and Tuscany/ Umbria with 6 other "foodie" friends would have been incomplete without a cooking class! And Tita and Nonie were fabulous! Nonie is an expat New Yorker and Tita is from Umbria- the perfect dynamic duo! They accommodated our schedule; brought everything to us; and taught us many new cooking tricks, tips and recipes. Our kitchen... More

Having read other reviews, I scheduled Tita and Nonie some months before arriving in Umbria! It was one of the best parts of the trip! My 23 year old God daughter and myself, having celebrated my 69th birthday earlier in this trip, participated in the class which was great fun and beyond my expectations! Then, while Tita and Nonie did... More

We spent a fantastic week in Umbria celebrating my husband's 60th, traveling with our 3 sons and their significant others. One of our favorite activities was learning to cook Umbrian food with Tita and Nonie. They were wonderful instructors and well organised. The class takes place in Tita's beautiful Italian home in the countryside. There may have been a little... More

Any concerns you might have about spending the afternoon on a cookery course will be completely dispelled as soon as you meet up with your hosts Tita and Nonie. They are the perfect combination of informed and dedicated exponents of the art of Umbrian cooking together with a shared love of life that is totally infectious. We shared the afternoon... More

This evening five of us had the opportunity to spend an afternoon with Nonnie and Tita. They had planned a wonderful menu with simple to prepare yet delicious meals. We earned our meal by kneading dough and stirring sauces. When we finally sat down the food tasted soooo good! What a fun time had by all. Highly recommend for a... More
