A small but pretty city park, lined with trees and rows of beautifully patina-ed bronze busts on pedestals, this is a lovely spot to watch the sunset.
From here, we had panoramic views over Perugia, the Umbrian countryside and beyond to the distant hills.
Entry to the garden is free.
It is only a short walk from the main piazza. We walked up Corso Vannucci until we reached the park at the very end.
On the way you will pass another tiny green garden space with fountains and at first, we mistook it for the Carducci Garden. However this is Piazza Italia so you need to keep going - the Carducci Gardens sit behind the imposing Palazzo della Provincia.
After strolling through gardens (which doesn’t take long because they are only small), we crossed the road and went for a drink at Punto di Vista to soak up more of the wonderful views.

We stood here to watch the sunset and were serenaded by the Bersaglieri band that was playing. The view was beautiful and it was a treat to listen to the Italian band

I like to stay here when I have free time.Usually during Umbria Jazz festival in July this place is full of people who come to listen to free concerts during the day until midnight. This is one of most visiting places of locals.

Definitely one of the best view points in perugia, especially to see the sunset!

This is more like a street park....not too big but with a fantastic panorama view. After visiting Rocca Polina, the escalator will take you right to the park. It is also the most romantic and best spot of Old Town Perugia for watching sun rise and sun set.

Get here from piazza della Republica. The gardens are quite a long walk along the hillside and you can enjoy the valley views all the way you go. Lots of trees, should be a good shadow in summer.

We stood here at sunset on a beautiful but cold December evening. View was spectacular of the surrounding countryside whilst the square and church were lit up. Quite lovely and memorable. A nearby shop embroidered our boys names for free which was so nice.

This garden sits just beyond Rocca Paolina and has small busts honoring various Perugian dig stories. There are park benches in grassy areas. Bring your panini and drinks for a restful al fresco picnic, and walk a few steps for panoramic views of the Umbrian hills around Perugia.
