We wondered up the narrow street of Gubbio and stumbled across this by mistake! The views were spectacular you could see the whole town and far across the countryside! The backdrop was the mountains and it was a hot sunny day so was just exquisite. We didn't venture into the museum due to to time but you could really appreciate... More

We parked at the Teatro across the street and walked throughout Gubbio, for us, the walk was not strenuous and the kids did great. Lots of great little shops to peruse and restaurants to feed your soul with local favorites. The view from the piazza is breathtaking at all times, but spectacular at sunset. Our family have gone numerous times... More

Reached by two lifts in the town of Gubbio the Piazza Grande offers wonderful views over the surrounding area.

The Piazza Grande is Gubbio's main square with great views over the surrounding countryside. When we were there a festival was on with flag throwers performing in the piazza and later from the Palazzo dei Consoli which adjoins it. They also rang the bells from the palazzo.

Great buildings full of History. All well kept and clean. Walking around is easy and were not the crowds like some areas. Weather in September was good for exploring the area. Friendly place and felt safe.

Get that camera out! Spectacular views from the top of town, well worth the long climb. Wind your way down past delightful, classy shops and time it for a Tuesday when the excellent market's on (until about noon).

A beautiful medieval square with great views over the town and countryside. Particularly fascinating at twilight.

An incredible place but don't miss the cathedrale above. It would be an amazing place to be in May when they have the big event.

Gubbio is a beautiful town, where you can smell the Middle Ages. The streets are very steep but worth walking instead of taking the elevator. The Piazza Grande is the city center, from which you have great views.
