Most of the churches in Assisi Are filled with busloads of tourists and pilgrims, the cathedral is different. Very quiet and prayerful place to spend an afternoon. St. Francis and Saint Clair were baptized here and the font that was used is still visible

Less famous and spectacular than the main St Francis cathedral complex but San Rufino is right in the centre of the old town - and right outside the piazza is da Andrea pizza for a great snack!

The first church I visited on my visit to Assisi. So much to see and make sure you find the baptismal font - it has such historical significance.
