An OK museum in two levels with detailed information about ways to inflict pain and death. However the fee is far too expensive for the size, max half an hour of entertainment. About 10 euro per person

My 14-year old son and I decided to pop into this museum on a whim today when we walked by and happened upon it. We spent an hour or so looking at the displays and reading the thorough descriptions. This is not a wax museum-type...More

I found this place on Tripadvisor and thought I'd take my Study Abroad class. We went a couple weeks ago. Yes it was beyond disturbing. It was also one of the highlights of a 5-country trip. It provided ample examples for discussion. My course is...More

Worth a visit if you haven't been to this type of museum before. Otherwise the articles on show are similar to elsewhere. Interesting tho; a vast array of torture instruments too see. And you can touch a lot of them too. Would recommend but as...More

I paid 10 euro to get in the museum. The woman at the front was very nice. You are allowed as much time as you want and it is usually not crowded. It is true to its name providing facts about torture used centuries ago.More

Brilliant way to spend an hour or so and makes a nice change from wandering round cathedrals and museums in Italy. Really fascinating and disturbing at the same time. Not done cheesily either, just good old fashioned imagination required here!
