you can see everything from the door way, it is just 20 or so large print books behind glass. The walls and ceiling are well painted

When you visit the Cathedral don't miss this room. If you're into art then you'll want to stay in here and soak it up. We were there early May (Sat) and it wasn't too busy.

This is just a room within the cathedral. Not that interesting. Worth about 30 seconds of your time.

You have to enter in this place. They offer you when you buy your ticket to the Duomo. I added to the visit and I am very happy to include it, because it was unforgettable.

Breath taking place. Surrounded by masterpieces and beauty. I really enjoyed my visit. Do not miss this attraction.

Really enjoyed these beautiful paintings but only takes two minutes to see them and a queue to get in even in winter - summer would certainly be longer. The rest of the church is just as stunning so not a necessity if queues are bad.

Piccolo mini new how to live. very learned he was religious and a general. the library shows all his varied interests. a great place to visit

This "library" now houses a collection of 15th century chant texts. It was originally designed to house the library of Pope Pius II. The project was patronised by Tedeschi who was elected Pope Pius II as the frescoes were being completed by Pinturicchio and Raphael....More

The Piccolomini Library is housed within the Duomo. On TripAdvisor, The Duomo is listed as the Siena Cathedral and is the #2 "Things to do in Siena". If you go to that TripAdvisor listing, you will see a yellow button... More

I believe the library is open year round at the same times as the Duomo itself.
