The magnificent complex of the Cathedral of Siena, its Duomo, houses a series of some of the most important monuments of the European artistic panorama. With its more than one million visitors every year, the Cathedral without a doubt represents the fulcrum of the entire complex, while other significant elements include the Crypt, the Baptistery and the Museo dell'Opera, all part of the impressive mass formed by the "Duomo Vecchio" (Old Cathedral), and the "Duomo Nuovo" (New Cathedral). Visitors will travel along a memorable itinerary to the discovery of self and the truth of faith through culture and art, the result of more than a millennium of Western history.

Been here twice and am in awe of the talent and granduer on display. The outside is inspiring but once you step into the building, the majesty of the Cathedral just blows you away.

I paid to visit the dome of the cathedral, for which you are allocated a time slot and only a certain number of people are allowed at a time. The cathedral itself was very busy, with visitors not observing the recommended walking routes. It was...More

My wife and I did the cathedral tour with the audio guide. We got a lot more out of it than if we had just gone solo. Much larger and more artwork to see than we had expected. I would rank this not far behind...More

Worth a visit. A smaller version of the Duomo in Florence but still packs a punch and worth a visit. The elevations are faced with marble and the inside of the Duomo is amazing

The most amazing church anywhere! Quite mind blowing and the architecture astounds/ they took 6 centuries to complete the floor. An absolute bucket list must!

I wouldn't risk it. Stick to something below the knee and make sure you have a wrap or cardigan to cover your shoulders

During our visit in June2017, we made our purchase at the ticket office, kitty corner from the Duomo. No lines, very quick and easy.

Yes, we saw ladies with bare shoulders wearing a white cape type cover. They were being dropped off at the exit.
