The magnificent complex of the Cathedral of Siena, its Duomo, houses a series of some of the most important monuments of the European artistic panorama. With its more than one million visitors every year, the Cathedral without a doubt represents the fulcrum of the entire complex, while other significant elements include the Crypt, the Baptistery and the Museo dell'Opera, all part of the impressive mass formed by the "Duomo Vecchio" (Old Cathedral), and the "Duomo Nuovo" (New Cathedral). Visitors will travel along a memorable itinerary to the discovery of self and the truth of faith through culture and art, the result of more than a millennium of Western history.

Wow, I am so glad I had a chance to visit this cathedral. Beauty inside and out. I would have stayed a little longer if I had a chance. The "Library" is a nice place to see.

Beautiful Cathedral - you need to pay for admission (unlike all Churches in Rome that are free), Check out the heads of the Popes- the repeat after every fourth Pope. Get the ticket that covers all areas and make sure that you go to the roof (#6 ? on the tour) and take beautiful pictures of the city

Fantastic cathedral. I jokingly remarked it was the cathedral of the holy zebra on accounts of the stonework which has black and white stripes. Some lovely sculptures.

One of the most fabulous Duomos, much more ornate than Florence. Definitely worth the time to explore.

Yes the torre is worth climbing and the duomo is worth seeing, more than most. There are gelateria on every corner and why not? Something has to break up the sea of shoe, handbags and jewellery shops. The piazza is very lovely and makes it a quite beautiful place. There are more piazzas and little churches to discover as you... More

This is a place of worship and a place of history. The works of art are amazing and the floors are must beautiful. The picalomini library was filled with amazing works. Even the outside of this church is beautiful.

Spend time studying the sculptures and art on the front wall of this church as it contains all the key bible stories. Best to have a guide book with you. It is well maintained and the interior is stunning.
