Quick walk by and suddenly, there is it in the little square, the oldest bank in the world. It looks solid and utterly dependable - well it has been around for almost 500 years!

This is where Italy's banking started and currently one of the largest in Italy. Just minutes from the Campo and certainly is one of the highlights of any Siena tour.

Amazing building you can visit at not cost but is not always open so you need to go early in the day and it is worth a stop not sure if at the weekends is open but can always get information locally.
