Walking around this area is very interesting. A beautiful town and the Piazza is beautiful. Very touristy in the summer months but an evening walk would be good.

Piazza della Cisterna has a great sense of history about it and yet there is a great atmosphere here. Constant buzz is experienced here

It is shaped like an inverted triangle and takes advantage of the natural slope of the land. It is completely paved in brick. A successful proof of how the Middle Ages and the present can be sampled. Especially appreciates Italy's control over today's advertising signs

From here, you can get the best gelato in the world, watch people go by, and get to all major sights and shopping streets in few minutes. A beautiful square and even more magical when people are few.

This one of two main piazzas in San Grimignano which adjoin each other. The name of this piazza comes from an old well situated in the piazza. The piazza is surrounded entirely by old buildings that gives it a medieval feel.

Very nice piazza of medieval character and very well renovated. It offers also the opportunity to eat on this same square.

This beautiful old water well is out of a fairy tale, I would say this is the heart of the lovely medieval town of San Gimignano, perfect match with the little town's walls and stone construction. This may well be the nicest piazza in Tuscany,...More
