Historically fascinating, both the house and the owners. An added benefit was the various medical instruments and history.

It's a quick visit. But it's a Palazzo and beautiful garden that should be preserved. We never mind paying admission to these types of places because they require so much to restore and maintain. But I do hate to pay for parking wherever I go!

Nice thing to do in Lucca, Tuscany.
Jump to the previous century and get a glimpse of the Italian welth of the Pfanner family.

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon walking around the Palazzo and sitting I the beautiful well kept garden. An oasis of calm with garden seats in shade if you wish to sit out of the sun

The grounds of this Palazzo were gorgeous, with flowers in bloom, lovely trees and bushes, fountains, statues and walkways. Lovely place to visit.

We were there on a very hot day and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Beautiful managed gardens and fountain. When we were there the music school next door were practising so got a free front row seat to lovely classic music.....

Pleasant and elegant palazzo showing how foreigners from Northern Europe enjoyed a fine existence in Lucca. Wonderful gardens

Historical homestead, some care need to maintain what can be seen as a former beauty and place of importance.

Poor Robert L, if he doesn't appreciate the gardens ' not much here', then one wonders of he should be travelling. The gardens are beautiful, centred around the months and seasons. The fountains were a joy to behold on a hot sunny day as was the greenery. An oasis. Lucca is quite a quiet tow, but this provided an even more tranquil place to reflect on the beauty of the Palazzo.

The gardens are a spectacular oasis in the heart of the city, even the rain couldn’t dampen their charm.
The house clearly still needs a lot of restoration and money spending on it but what has been done so far tells its story well. The medical instruments on display are rather gruesome but interesting.
