On the evening we went there was just a tenor and a baritone with piano accompaniment. It was absolutely brilliant. We came out of there with our hearts bursting with joy. Gabriele Spina the baritone was superb. I could have listened to him all night.

I love Puccini and Verdi, so we had to attend one of the scheduled performances. As we went in November, which is off-season, they only had performances Thursday and Saturday evening. We bought tickets earlier in the day at the Information center. You can also purchase tickets at the church where the performance is held. Tickets go on sale and... More

To be able to sit in an exquisite old church with pillars soaring three+ storeys above .....AND to listen and watch singers performing Puccini , Verdi and other arias is indeed a breathtaking experience !!! The seating is limited, so the entire performance is very intimate...one is within a short distance to the singers who stand on a slightly raised... More

This venue receives five stars from us, inexpensive, quality musicians, the tenore, Simone Frediana, was outstanding. Small venue, excellent accoutics. The O Sole Mio encore had the audience on their feet.

Can really recommend a visit. An excellent choice of music with really great performers. During the winter season the venue is a small and intimate setting which really adds to the occasion. This is the best thing in Lucca, do not miss it.

I think the performance was overall great. The male singer wasn't as strong on his first song but certainly picked up. The female was amazing and showed emotion while singing adding another element. She was better than he was but it is no offence to him implied just she had a great standard. Certainly should pop down around 6:50 grab... More

Excellent performance! It was in a small church, I was lucky enough to secure a front row seat. The performers were amazing. They performed 12 masterpieces of Verdi and Puccini. Incredible!!

Went to Lucca in May 2015. What a beautiful city. Beautiful restaurants architecture churches shops, could just go on an on. A trip to Florence and pizza were also done as not far away by train. So good we're going back next year. Going to head to the seaside town of viareggio next time and try see the other half... More

We had a 1-hour opera with a pianist, a soprano & a tenor doing various Puccini chef-d'oeuvres. It was fantastic & mesmerizing. The acoustics in the church is out of this world. The tenor is awesome. Be sure to come early to get a good seat near the front.
