This church dates back to the 17th century, is quite small, and was a place for worship for Greek sailors who arrived in Livorno.
We visited this church on Easter Sunday morning, after visiting one of the three on this street, the Chiesa della Madonna. In view of the proximity of other churches, we were surprised at the large attendance which this church attracted.

This is one of three churches on the Via Della Madonna. This one was built in 1606 for Greek sailors coming into the port of Livorno. The facade for such a small church is very nice, and well worth a quick visit inside to view the beautiful gilt ceiling. The ceiling is definitely worth more than the average rating, but other than the altar area, the church is fairly plain inside. The small stained glass windows near the high ceiling are lovely also.
