Miki, thé soprano singer was extremely talented with a beautiful voice, and David, the pianist, was equally talented. I thoroughly enjoyed the hour and a half listening to opera music and songs. The venue was very intimate, in a nice church. Great experience for sure!

It was so extremely hot inside that the half of the people left after the first set. Not enough water for everyone. It was a very touristy experience, mostly suffering from the heat, no enjoy.

The piano Cristiano Manzoni was very good

An amazing evening - the entertainment was truly enchanting! The operatic singing was beautiful and the pianist who accompanied the arias was truly talented. All this was enjoyed in the beautiful surroundings of the deconsecrated church, Santa Monaca in the heart of Florence.

This is my second visit, this time with my 18 year old daughter.
There was hardly anybody there, maybe 20 people. Front row seats. Amazing performance. Well worth it.

My girlfriend and I caught this Opera last night and it was absolutely amazing. The venue was breathtaking. It's held in a church that is several hundred years old. Sabrina Ciavattini (Soprano) and David Baldrini (piano) were on top of their game. If you are in Florence and you have time you must see this opera. We had dinner then walked over. It was a ten minute walk from our hotel. Very easy to get to. I can't say enough about this hidden gem. During intermission they served champagne. I hope that you will take some time out to enjoy this, it was well worth it. This will surely be one of our great memories of our visit to Italy.

My wife loves opera, so when we read about this place we purchased tickets for the first available concert.

The church is small, there were 64 people attending the concert, but it is good for concerts like these (although I think that it would have even been better in a bigger one).

The solist is young, but she had a very nice voice. The pianist was good too, he could show his skills during three solos and that was something.

It was a real treat to be here we, really enjoyed the concert at this venue. It is not a must, but I can recommend this concert with parts from several known operas.

Perfect way to spend a night in Florence is a great meal, superb wine and beautiful opera in a 16th. Century church. The production sponsored by Classica is performed every Thursday night and consists of two Soprano artists and a talented pianist. More than a dozen world famous arias were performed in the Church Chapel which has excellent acoustics. Walking back to our hotel seeing Florence's night time lighting was just icing on the cake

I had been emailed a copy of the program. The advertisement on the day of the program concurred with my copy. After purchasing tickets at the door, I was informed that the program had changed. The songs on the new program were not well-known. The woman in line behind me tried to get a refund as she had pre-purchased tickets based on the original advertisement. The woman was informed that the regular performers were on holidays and this program had been substituted for a few weeks. A number of people were disgruntled at the concert and left at the intermission. Buyer beware.

I had a magical evening. The solo pianist was superb, and played three of her own original compositions. The soprano was literally breath-taking (I forgot to breathe at a few points). The venue is small and intimate, and the acoustics in the church are good. Definitely got teary-eyed a few times as well. I can't recommend this enough.

If you want to make an evening of it, I recommend dinner at Vivanda across the street. Really good food, amazing and knowledgable service. The restaurant owns a small winery and sells their own organic wines for around 4-5 euros by the glass, and about 7-9 euros if you want to take a bottle home.

My wife, the opera lover, found the listing to "Italian Opera in Santa Monaca Church" and we walked the 15-20 minutes from our hotel on the other side of the river. The church is small, so was the audience. About 40-50 people attended a great little concert the evening we were there. A soprano, a tenor and a pianist. Who needs more? Solo arias, duets and a flashy piano interlude. All professional musicians about 20 feet away. Ka-pow. I both cried and laughed, despite not speaking Italian.

Even if you have just a little appreciation of music, go to this series in this church. It's of the highest quality.
