This was by far the best wine tour I have taken. I was in Florence for the month of October and visited a dozen wineries, from taking a big bus tour and a private tour with a driver. This small group tour meeting at the school was convenient, educational, and fun. Tom provided information I had not yet heard and... More

The wine teacher was superb, the wineries were beautiful and served wonderful wines, and the dinner at the last winery was awesome. This was one of our best experiences in our three week tour of Italy. I cannot complement our guide enough...she made the whole experience worth it. Plus, I learned a great deal...what could be better?

We had a delightful day learning about wine and visiting three lovely wineries in the beautiful Chianti region. Our guide Adrianna was very pleasant, fun and knowledgeable. The program began at 9:30 am, so we highly recommend that you eat breakfast. The lunch served at the third winery was delicious and the fresh olive oil and balsamic vinegar was a... More

My fiance and I were in Florence and both being wine lovers, we wanted to get some education into Italian wine and explore the famous Chianti region. After lots of research, we came across the highly recommended Tuscan Wine School. Let me just say that this tour did not disappoint . Our great host Matteo was highly knowledgeable and very... More

Tuscan wine school provided us with a great tour of nearby wineries. I really appreciate their choice of wineries. They taught some good tricks on identifying a good wine as well. If I am in florence again, I would go with them

What a great way to spend a day in Florence. We took a day trip to the Chianti region while tasting great wines and olive oils. We learned how to really taste wine correctly while exploring the beautiful countryside. A highlight of our trip!

My friend and I participated in the half day tour. The tour was amazing and our guide was extremely knowledgeable. We were comfortably in a mini van which had free wifi and the travel time between the wineries was a short ride. We went to three wineries and each location we got the chance to try 3-4 wines. The scenery... More

Staying in Piazzale Michelangelo

Neighbourhood Profile
Piazzale Michelangelo
Just outside the ancient walls of Florence, Viale Michelangiolo starts. It is a winding road rimmed by wonderful poplars and holm oaks. The long ascent opens up to the most beautiful and famous panoramic viewpoint of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo, where an elevated terrace offers visitors an incomparable and breathtaking view of the entire city from above. During good weather, Piazzale Michelangelo provides visitors with a serene space surrounded by the amazing landscape, better if accompanied by a fresh gelato from a local kiosk. During night, visitors will be dazzled by the warm lights of the capital of the Renaissance. Spend a second with the silent Romanesque beauty of the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte: the one that wishes good morning and good night to Florence!
