On the recommendation of some friends we took the tour of Florence with Federico and I would recommend it because he is a very professional guide with much knowledge who gave us a day of teaching art of Florence. If you want to have the real vision of this city you may take this tour ;-) Thank you Federico and... More

Paul's walking tour of Florence came highly recommended by a friend and he didn't disappoint. He is very knowledgeable and engaging. Paul involves everyone in the group while teaching us incredible historical facts with humor too. His insider connection made getting in to see David a breeze while others had to wait in long lines. I had no idea there... More

My family of 6 visited the port of La Spezia on a cruise. I chose Paul on reviews on TripAdvisor and so glad I did! He is extremely knowledgeable and very interesting. He makes the facts and stories he told come alive...especially when we visited the statue of David. We did the full day tour with time for lunch and... More

Paul came highly recommended to me from a friend in the US who had taken a tour with him two years ago. When I found out we were making a return trip to Florence I immediately signed up with Paul. Anyone could have taken us to the Academia and other places but what makes Paul's tour unique is his deep... More

This was one of the best tours we've ever taken from a city / art perspective. Paul takes you on a journey of not only the history of Florence but also how the history relates with the Renaissance period. The narrative and the story was so thoughtful and he was clearly passionate about the subject. His years and years of... More

Took a private tour with Paul and absolutely loved it and loved Paul. He taught us so much, while keeping us engaged and focused. He was so knowledgeable and seemed to thoroughly enjoy the time he spent with us. I highly recommend his services and would go back to Florence to specifically see him. An absolute delight and he made... More

I had made arrangements with Paul for a private tour of Ostia Antica. As it turned out I had messed up the date. I called Paul in a panic an hour before I expected to be picked up at our hotel and let him know. We were getting on a cruise ship the next day and our options were limited.... More

Took a tour of Florence with Paul Costa and also booked a wine tour through Paul / Tuscan Tour Guides (Christiano was our wine tour driver). While pricey, Paul was extremely knowledgeable about Florence history and encouraged an interactive experience with his tour members, which I truly appreciated. However, what separated Paul and why he earns "5 Stars" as far... More

Paul was not available so we had Patrizia as our guide. She was absolutely wonderful! She was very knowledgeable and catered our interests to the tour. I can't say enough nice things about her. Patrizia made the day very very special day! She was most kind and even walked us back to the train station so we didn't get lost.... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
