The Torre di San Niccolo is located across the Arno River on Piazza Poggi. If you climb to the top you get nice views of the city.

Not the best or biggest tower in Florence. Somewhat simple overall but definitely worth a look if on this side of the Arno river

Very simple tower and has nothing special architecturally. Doesn't with the visit at all. Better to save time for something more valuable.

I loved this place. Old Historic Defense Tower, what's not to love. Really gives you a feel of life in the renaissance period, with these towers. It also was even more special after seeing so many in the Assassins Creed game.

Middle of the day looks dead, with just cars and mess. Closed till 5 pm. Keep walking... Maybe looked better at night but not going to walk all the way back
