We lined up for around half an hour and paid I think 8 euros for a very small museum. While there are some beautiful sculptures in here, there simply isn't enough. Only go if you've run out of things to do as it's quite a pricey visit and a long wait.

Michelangelo is the greatest artist of Italian Renaissance. Yes, there are Leonardo and Raphael but their combined legacy roughly equals what Michelangelo achieved alone. And if you are his admirer, go to the Capella. No lines, just masterpieces, his and others. Don't be afraid of the ongoing renovation - Michelangelo's sculptures may be very well seen.

This is a very interesting site and I'm glad we went. But it is disappointing to get into the chapel to find that much of it is covered in scaffolding. However, I'd still recommend a visit.

Contains a stunning collection of Michelangelo sculpture in an unhurried, untouristy location. Beautiful burial place of famous Medicis including il Magnifico.

Behind the San Lorenzo cathedral is the Medicci Chapel(Chapel of Princes) where the Medicci family is buried.Though it is an extension of San Lorenzo cathedral it needs separate tickets(9Euros) and separate enterence. Can see Michaelangelo's sculptures allegory of Dawn /dusk and night/day on the tombs and Madona and child in the new sacristy .The ceiling is also beautiful..Michaelangelo's staircase and library... This is worth a visit just to see Michelangelo's statues. You can really get up close to them. The chapel's roof is also beautiful. The line to get is not as long as that for the uffizi or the accademia

Good musem/chapel, but it could use a bit more info. Audioguide would likely be helpful but since we got there within an hour of closing, they didn't let us rent one.

It was a long time i wanted to visit the Cappelle Medicee and finally i saw this beautiful place. It was impressing, the Cappella, the secret rooms with reliques, the conference rooms. Worth it all the time spent there

More amazing views, statues and atmosphere. Had a wonderful time looking at the galleries, and the bonus room of sculpture.
