This church and piazza are lovely and happen to be very near the train station. Leave extra time for your train, if only to sit in the piazza to enjoy the view.

Both inside and out this is a must see. Queued in the rain, but well worth it. The cloisters are just beautiful. Frescoes amazing.

If you love history, if you love architecture, Florence is the place to be. Every street, every alley is a history lesson and an architects dream. The Church of Santa Maria Novella is indeed a huge part of the lure and love of the city.

A most impressive building with a grand frontage, the inside is well worth the visit. Along with almost every other church and basilica in Florence, you should not miss looking inside.

Cathedrals in Italy are awe-inspiring. The amount of art in this cathedral is immense. Many parts were under renovation, but that did not make it any less memorable.

We got here early to miss some of the crowds. Already very full. Another of the reasons why Florence is stunning and a great trip.

come across the constant hustle and bustle of the

is impossible not to admire the the square, housing
one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
