In Love with tartufo we were willing to pay for learning how the truffle is hunted and prepared for a delicious truffle pasta. We had high expectations due to the high price. Unfortunately we were disappointed throughout the adventure. After a very short introduction of the Farm, the truffle hunt lasted only around 40 minutes. Francesca walked very fast and we had to hurry up to see how the dog would find the truffle. The information given by Francesca were rare and only on demand. The dining room was nicely prepared, still it would have been nicer to eat outside. The served wine was good. The food was okay, but not special at all. The dessert in form of cantuccinis and biscuits poor enough. On top, we could not even see how the truffle was processed - further information about the recipe only on demand. All in all - it was still nice, if you are willing to pay a lot for little information and experience. Francesca seems not very enthusiastic about the whole thing, very eager in earning money - she is just playing her program day after day.…

A little bit outside of San Miniato lies an amazing villa where wine is produced and truffles are found. After being greeted by our very friendly guide and her ambitious dog, we went in her car to a nearby forest. After a short walk we arrived at a special spot, where the dog immediately went to work. It discovered 4 truffles in about 40 minutes, while being continuously interrupted by pictures being taken and explanations being given. Back at the villa we were served an amazing 4 course meal centered around truffle, paired with artisinal wines. Great experience! …

Me and my partner had an absolutely incredible time! Francesca and her mother were amazing and of course Choco! The food was sublime and the whole experience in general made our trip to Tuscany! You have to do this if you are in the area! :)

We had a lovely (and successful) truffle hunt with Francesca and Chiocco, the dog. Very knowledgable and helpful. Delicious (but huge!) lunch so make sure you’re hungry beforehand. Beautiful Fattoria in a gorgeous location.
