We have never seen such a beautiful building. It is very colorful inside the duomo and out side. The doors tell story. Definitely research what to see at the church and plaza

The Piazza del Duomo is absolutely awe inspiring. The culmination of a multitude of historical buildings that are rich in architectural design result in an absolutely mesmerising experience. The whole Piazza is amazing, with the Cathedral was my favourite. Stroll through the surrounding cobbled streets,...More

I was simply exploring the surroundings of my hotel, following small streets wherever they led. I turned a corner and froze- the exterior of the Duomo had me flabberghasted. WOW . Apart from that the shopping is fun and the restaurants are reasonable- just pick...More

Beautiful piazza. Whilst there were a lot of tourists there was still plenty of room to move and take photos.

The ticket to get into the Baptistry, Bell Tower, and basement excavations is worth it. But the best thing to see if time is short is the Museo del Duomo.

For someone who's new to Europe, the Piazza del Duomo is a stunning work of architecture and art. I happened upon it by accident and stopped where I was standing with my jaw dropped as I came upon this massive building. Every side of it...More

The intricacy of its architecture is beautiful and one not to miss. It's a good idea to visit this place when the sun is out, so you'll see how the sun elegantly reflects on its unique beautiful colors.

What a magnificent building. Just stand and really have a good look at the workmanship on the outside before going inside.

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city

You can visit it any time of the day. The restaurants in the piazza are open till late and you can always walk down the nearby roads and find lots of stalls for road side shopping.
