Love Duets’ Concert: you do not have to be a lover of Italian Opera to enjoy this wonderful evening. It’s set in a small church from 1800’s. You have a piano, soprano & tenor performing Opera’s love song and Italian love songs. The setting and performance is overwhelmingly powerful. You’ll be moved to tears by the emotions. Not to be missed.

I saw Madame Butterfly and La Boheme at St Mark's church in Florence recently and really enjoyed both performances. The staging of the operas is necessarily reduced, featuring only the principals (with musical accompaniment from a virtuoso pianist). However, the intimacy of the venue more than makes up for the reduced scale of the opera. If you are in Florence... More

We chanced upon St. Mark's Church and an evening of opera. We were fortunate to be able to attend Love Duets. Not quite love duets but it didn't matter. The acoustics were fantastic and the setting was intimate. The pianist and the singers were great. A steal at €25 each. All proceeds go to support an charity for children in... More

We thoroughly enjoyed attending The Barber of Seville and La Boheme at St. Mark's. Thanks to our wonderful hosts, Inge and Franz, the talented performers and their excellent accompanist Cristiano on the piano. Front row centre for 45 Euro (profits all earmarked for charity) - two metres from the action happening on the same level (ie no stage) - with... More

The performance was so moving - we were sitting on the front row and i had tears streaming down my face. Truly excellent experience which made our trip to Florence. Would highly recommended even if not familiar with opera. The host was charming and explained the plot beautifully between acts. Madam Butterfly's performance was truly beautiful as was Suzuki's. Thank... More

A perfect way to end a visit to Italy. St Mark's is a wonderful small church that brings you close to the performers and simply surrounds you in sound. Even if you don't understand opera the team take you through the story and the performers act out the main events. Simply loved it.

At sixty my first live opera. A birthday present and to see my first one in Florence. This was Carmen and was delightfully funny, tragic and so wonderful. Everything is for charity and so the group do this for free. The pianist was brilliant and the host entertaining.

We saw Carmen in April 2017. My husband loves opera and I'm. It so sure. We had front row seats and loved every minute. They explained each act before it happened so it is a wonderful way for non-opera types to try out opera. The church is beautiful and the people super helpful. The lady checking us in gave us... A pleasant evening of high quality operatic music. The duet voices were superb. Also, helpful with calling a taxi for my return home across the river.

Booked this online before visiting Florence and delighted with front row seats in a church for only 30 euros each - with monies going to a charity for children in India why wouldn't you? We enjoyed Love Duets on a Sunday evening in March, performed to an audience of no more than 50 (so intimate), by an outstanding couple of... More
