If it's your first time in Florence snd you're not sure where to start your visit, choose this place. This is the first museum anyone who visits Florence should visit. It has wonderful frescos and the best renaissance art in Florence.

Well worth a visit! We bought the Firenze Pass which allows jump the queue access to 72 sites including all the main sites the pass can be purchased in advance online

This is a place that is so massive and has so much to see and learn about I would definitely recommend a guide! It is magnificent on its own, but you just miss a lot without one!

Yes, if you still can, buy advance tickets from the official museum site. The extra 4 euro fee is worth it. Otherwise you will waste precious time waiting in line, regardless of time of day.
