Great art & sculpture in an awa inspiring setting. Just needed better signposting
We prepaid for times entry the day after we arrived in Florence. Given the queues it was well worth the extra couple of euros. And the collection process was entirely un Italian and efficient The museum was interesting and of course we made a point of visiting the major well known pictures/sculptures The long galleries set either side with busts and full body sculptures was literally awesome and some of the settings of the work was really well done. The only reason for knocking this to 4 was that the signposting within the building was pretty poor. Although this does seem to be a feature of other places we have visited.

Wonderful museum, inside there are beautiful and very famous works, truly unmissable. It's a shame, however, for the rudeness of those in charge outside the museum; I only asked for simple information (there were no signs and nothing was understood) and I was answered in a very rude way; moreover, we had purchased the ticket with priority entry, so we should have entered without queuing...unfortunately this was not the case... The museum, I repeat, is truly wonderful and unique, you cannot go to Florence without visiting it.

    A dive into painting
It is a museum full of paintings (there are also sculptures, especially from the Roman era) which spans from Giotto to 1600. The visit begins on the second floor with paintings from 1200 to the end of the 1400s, a quantity of wonderful paintings by numerous painters of the time. The foreground which embraces the paintings of the 1500s and 1600s is also very interesting. Despite the fact that you have to book the entry time, the Museum was packed with visitors and especially in the first rooms it was difficult to enjoy the wonders on display.

    Controversial impressions
We went to Uffizi in February. We were surprised by having two independent line ups to the Gallery. The first one was for tickets, after we went across the yard and got onto second one for security. Museum itself is gorgeous with world known art pieces. However, there is no any air conditioning inside of the building. Overall, its Uffizi which is one of the major museums in the world.

    Art is loading
You will be satisfied with art. Art and intellectualism is loadinggg. But don't go hungry, it takes a long time to wander around inside. They also made the layout like Ikea. You have to pass through every room :) Your feet will probably hurt when you get out. I suggest you enter knowing this.

    Magnificent and moving experience!
For the first time at the Uffizi we saw works of art seen for decades only in history and art books, in TV documentaries, on t-shirts and postcards! Finding myself in front of the originals of these works was an emotionally devastating experience. To be amazed at every step. Works of art that the whole world envies and admires were in front of us. Botticelli's Primavera, the Birth of Venus, Bacchus, Leonardo da Vinci, Artemisia Gentileschi...absolutely magnificent! But when we arrived in front of the wooden shield with Caravaggio's effigy of the decapitated Medusa, tears of emotion fell! An unforgettable experience. Tickets purchased online with skip-the-line and really convenient booking. Not even a minute of waiting, even entering half an hour before the scheduled time. The crowd inside the museum was absolutely manageable and you could easily linger in front of the works, maybe the weekend is obviously busier. However, an all-round fantastic experience!

    A dazzling array of artworks
There are a staggering number of artworks on display that make you wonder just how powerful the Medici family was in their heyday. I was also surprised to see that the sculptures are almost on the level of "anywhere pillars." You can get a close-up view of the Duomo from the cafe along the tour route, so if you have time, I recommend stopping by.

As many masterpieces as your eyes can see and your legs can stand.
Reputation deserved. Truly astonishing number of artistic masterpieces. (albeit heavily dominated by specific religious themes). Difficult to impossible to see it all in one visit, but must buy separate timed entry tickets each time you go. Crowds, metal detectors, arcane ticketing rules. Plan for the necessary logistics.

    Unique emotion.
Spectacular. There is little to review when you can see the greatest masterpieces of art in one place. Magnificent experience, perhaps a little complicated for small children (under 10s risk getting bored). I recommend booking and paying for tickets online; in this way you can access the museum in a short time because the queue is very fast.

Immerse yourself completely in the art.
Booked skip-the-line tickets online via “Get your guide”. We arrived 15 minutes early at door 3 to collect tickets and then immediately entered the museum. So I highly recommend buying them online especially if you go on the weekend. As for the museum... well nothing to say. One wow after another. Pure art and beauty.

This is without a doubt the number one museum to visit in Florence. I recommend buying your ticket in advance as the museum was sold out on some of the days during my visit. I visited when it opened at 08.15 to avoid the crowds and capture great photos.
Every Italian artist and sculptor you want to see is exhibited here with some world class woks of art by Da Vinci, Caravaggio and Botticelli to name a but a few. The Tribuna is fabulous and so too was the gallery with the sculpture of a horse. Look up at the wonderful ceilings and also enjoy views of the city and river from the galleries.

I was in Florence in May and was lucky to find (on a Saturday morning) very few people! As soon as I arrived, after taking a tour of the city, I bought a ticket (€2 ticket for Under 25s) and went in to enjoy the Uffizi: I took a tour focusing on the most famous works and those I liked the most and in total it took me 2 hours to complete the visit. In this case there would be an audio guide which costs €6 but I don't recommend it as it reads what is written and which you can easily read next to each work and it doesn't focus on details or say additional things that you can't find on Internet.

This is the most must-see in Florence. Huge museum that you won’t be able to see at once so set aside 2-3 hours to not get saturated and prepare what you want to see in advance. We did it with guide and it was a success, but with audio guide sure that also the experience is very good; I do not recommend going without guide / audio guide.
The building is currently under renovation and people with reduced mobility will have a hard time moving between the two floors (without elevators for several weeks).

Absolute rip-off. Abysmal experience from the moment of trying to book online to totally overcrowded and uncontrolled environment inside. Why force prebooking time slots if you then still allow hundreds of people in at the same time? It’s just greed. Will recommend that people avoid - it’s just not worth it for the few notable works contained within.

Although the Accademia contains the Statue of David, the Uffizi Gallery is the premier art museum in Florence and one of the most prestigious in the world. Works by Botticelli, Rafael, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci amongst others are on display. You need a minimum of 2-3 hours in the museum to appreciate all that there is to see. Purchase tickets in advance online with a timed entry and try to plan to arrive as early in the day after opening to avoid crowds and the wait at security.

There's no need to point out that the Uffizi is full of masterpieces, and well worth a visit. But here are some tips that are hopefully helpful, because while the art is undeniably amazing, the museum itself is huge, hot and busy.

-Prebook tickets. You can be waiting literally hours if you don't, and make sure you book it through the official website.

-Turn up at your designated time. Don't turn up early (or late, obviously) because you won't get in until the time on your ticket. We had booked for 3pm and there were people in line with 3:30 tickets who got kicked out of line until then. We still had to queue, but only for 10 mins max - staff are milling around checking people's tickets and directing them to the correct lines.

-There are security and bag checks, and you can only take in water bottles that are 0,5cl (500ml). Worth noting if you have a larger reusable drink bottle especially.

-It's a huge musuem, and gets very hot and stuffy in the summer. No air con and no fans. Some rooms are quite small - maybe take a handheld fan and make sure everyone has a small drink bottle. Unfortunately there are no refill stations that I could see.

-There is a cafe on level 2 where you can buy more water and other drinks. It's a lot more expensive to sit at the tables, but you can also order drinks to stand at the bar and drink, which is cheaper. You can only takeaway bottles of water through the rest of the musuem.

-Avoid tour groups if you can, as they crowd around paintings and you'll have to push through to see them! In the smaller rooms this is especially trying.

-PLEASE don't stand directly in front of paintings to have your picture taken! It obscures the view for others and is downright rude. Stand to the side if you must have your photo taken with an artwork!

The gift shop is huge so if you're a fan of souvenir shopping, you're in the right place! Overall this is definitely one of the great galleries of the world, and worth visiting - even in the heat of summer!

The Museum was fantastic, as was the Galleria, but the booking process ruined the entire experience.
The B-Tickets website, where we purchased tickets for both museums seems frustratingly unfit for purpose. On the first occasion, after it having insisted there was a field missing some information, though there was none, we proceeded to ring the helpline.
The well intentioned respondent organised a link for our requested time, which we followed through to purchasing the tickets, only to be rudely informed when we got there that the tickets were for the following day, when we would be attending a wedding, so there was no chance we would have requested that day.
The entire situation threatened to unravel with a particularly useless staff member who kept insisting we would need to buy more tickets, even though she recognised it was their mistake, when one reasonable staff member finally saved the day.
If only that had been the end of it..
The following day, with distrustful trepidation I returned to the website to attempt to book Galleria tickets, as, regrettably B-Tickets seem to have a monopoly running in Florence.
All seemed fine until the website again insisted there was a field lacking info. It reloaded, but unbeknownst to me, reloaded to the following day, when we would have left the city.
Unaware of this situation, which now feels dangerously close to a scam, I booked the tickets, but instantly upon seeing the incorrect date I tried to refund or exchange them. Even airline tickets give one a grace period of 15 minutes, but no, the shady B-Tickets policy is that once you pay you can't change or refund them. I even tried to refund it through Visa but after a two month back-and-forth it seems this disgraceful policy is allowed to stand.
As it was we ended up paying twice for the Galleria, and indeed I wonder how many other tourists experience this exact same situation. I would not be surprised if it's a common occurrence, and given B-Tickets monopoly I've no doubt the City of Florence could not do anything about it, even if they were so inclined.

Taking a tour of the center of Florence, and on the first Sunday of the month, where the museums are free to enter, we found ourselves queuing at the Uffizi.
Very long queue, but well organised, given that it only took us 40 minutes to enter.
Inside there is little to say Stupendous!! Lots of artwork with various artists.
Inside there are large corridors which also give a sense of the route with the appropriate arrows.
I saw that the price of the full ticket is €25, while a new promotion called Prima Mattina costs €19
Enjoy your visit

I purchased two tickets online at the price of €30 each so I could skip any queues and avoid waiting outside as the day was also rainy. I don't question the beauty of the works, of the building itself, but I say: how do you make me pay €60 for two tickets and catapult me into a sea of people who seem to be at the market on a Saturday morning? While you're at it, you can let even more people in because in any case I managed to glimpse pieces of paintings between people's heads and between a push given and a push returned. Scandalous, I've been visiting museums for years, I've never paid such a high price and I've never heard such a racket (complete with a security guard shouting "silence, we're in a mug" every three by two). I have to say that you care very little about visitors, what matters is the takings! Two stars only because there are worthy works and some rooms offer a unique view. I would give the organization zero stars.

This is wonderful and huge art collection that is better seen in small chunks so if you have the time available to you I would recommend buying an annual family pass which is only very slightly more expensive than a five day pass even if you don’t have children. Details are on the website. It will give you unlimited access to the Uffizi, the Pitti palace and the Boboli gardens. The best time to buy your pass is on a Monday when the museum is closed but the ticket office is open, this way you won’t queue in the usually very long line for tickets on the day. It also allows you to skip the line, just go to the rope barrier show the attendant your family pass and some photo ID for each person and you’re shown to the entrance. We used our pass 6 times while we here which gave us fabulous value.
