This was the 2nd tour I've taken with Walkabout and by far, the best tour I've ever taken anywhere. Worth every penny. Angel had the perfect combination. He was an expert on wine, he was very entertaining, and really worked hard so everyone understood the events of the evening. The estate looking over Florence was as picturesque as you could ask... More

We were expecting a small cooking class that would take a few hours. What we got was a walking tour through Florence while we picked up the food for the class, and a fantastic, in depth, all-day class. Under the guidance of our awesome chief, Carmela, and the staff who prepped and cleaned, the food that we cooked was awesome!... More

This tour was recommended by our (Dutch) travel agency and, indeed, it is a great way of exploring Florence. The cars are awesome. Well maintained and big fun to drive. We were with 5 cars (incl. guide) and it's amazing how the guide is able to keep all the cars together in a busy Florence. But he did it! The... More

We booked this online the night before. We were in a group of 15 people on about 7 Vespas and one Fiat 500. Angel was our guide and he was brilliant yet very laid back and relaxed - so knowledgeable about the sights and the history and gave a lot of interesting information about the history and process of Chianti... I was with Walkabout Florence Tours for their Cinque Terre Day trip, and we had Julian as one of our guides. I have to say it was hands down one of the best trips I had while in Florence! Walkabout Florence staff were friendly, open, very well informed, and made the whole experience very enjoyable. The activities themselves were fantastic.... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
