We picked up this tour after we got settled in our hotel. It was a good way to get the lay of the land and see which places we wanted to spend more time with next day. We also learned many things we otherwise would not know if our guide didn't point it out.

We did the food tour/cooking class and it was fantastic. It is an all day event - a walking tour in the morning that was perfectly balanced and we collected some ingredients from various shops/the market. You get a few nibbles on the way! It's a small group for this part of the your (12 or so people). Olivia our... More

This tour was absolutely amazing! My husband and I had a wonderful time cooking, eating and drinking the best homemade Italian foods! Martina our guide was excellent. She walked us through the streets of Florence providing the history of the local cuisine! This is a must tour and make sure you ask for Martina!

My daughter and I took the Vespa tour with Angel and we both thought it was one of the best things we've ever experienced. The tour takes you out of the city and makes a few stops in the country including a lunch at their hillside culinary school. But the best part is winding through impossibly tight ancient streets and... More

The tour was so well planned and worth every cent! Sandra was the tour leader and she was so friendly and knowledgable. The tour was just fantastic I enjoyed every minute. The bus ride was comfy and we were given enough time in every place to do your own thing which i thought was nice. Very impressed with this tour... More

Went on the best of tuscany tour, saw some great towns and places I otherwise wouldnt have visited. Lunch was at a stunning location and quite good. Especially liked the visit to Siena and San Gimignano. Our guide, Sandra, was very good, enthusiastic, friendly, and gave us the right amount of background info. Would recommend!

My 18 year old daughter and I each drove our own classic vespa as we left the city along with about 6 other vespas and 2 small Fiats following. Our leader trained us thoroughly and was very patient with any small challenges we faced with our vehicle. Leaving the heat and the crowds behind in the city, we felt the... More

The food was above average, the best thing offered was the appetizer. The display of wines were nice, especially when the tour guide did a demonstration on how to swirl a little wine around in the glass to give the drinking experience a nice touch. The bus tour route was a very pleasant end after the dinner. The tour guide... More

Great tour from Walkabout tour. Our guides Stefano and Johnny were great. Very helpful. The guides were very informative on the bus ride there. Learned a lot about Italy on the way there. They also prepared us well for the hikes. Entertained. Educate. Prepared without being overwhelming. Just the right touch.

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
