This boat ride was so much more than expected! We were expecting an enjoyable boat ride but were thrilled with the experience we had with our guide, Valentina. She provided us so much interesting information on the river, bridges and buildings along the river. We all learned some good history presented in a warm and engaging way, Valentina was delightful!... More

The early evening get boat tour on the river makes a nice change from walking around this great city. Marzia, our guide, was very knowledgeable and we all had a great time.

We did the Pizza and Gelato making course last night with Alessio and couldn't recco mend it more! It's worth being a classic 'tourist' to see the incredible venue they use outside of the city (another Medici fortress) - we were, however, upgraded to do the class here as assume numbers were low on the Sunday evening. It was a... More

My kids think I am the best mom for booking this trip. David, our chef, is very caring and explained every step of the process. It was not "just a class". The venue, which is a vineyard, is gorgeous in itself. You won't like to leave the place. It was some of the best pizza and gelato we've had!

While visiting Florence, we decided to do a full day VIP cooking class through Florencetown tours. The day started at 0900 with a visit to a quaint local market with our Chef - Daniel. He is a local Chef who we spent the day with. We shipped and tasted our way through the market. Then we hopped in a vehicle... More

Fantastico! We loved the countryside setting, David our instructor who was very knowledgeable and kind, as well as the food! I could have cooked/eaten/learned for another hour or two :).

This was a great class. From the moment we met up with Lorenzo at the tour offices, to meeting Paola, our chef, we knew it was going to be a fun evening. The good thing about this evening (we did the 6pm class) is that you meet a real range of people, it's great fun and you get to eat... More

The Tuscany Wine Trail trip was excellent. More than what I expected. Christian was fantastic, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about wine and the history of the areas we traveled to. To learn so much about the harvest and wine ageing process was very interesting. The evening ended with a very filling Tuscan meal. A very memorable experience, thankyou Christian!

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
