This is where the Basilica of the Santo Spitito is located on the other side of the bridge/arno river. It is a bit secluded area, it is not my first choice for hanging out but did rested here a bit on one of the few benches situated at this plaza. There's really nothing going on here. Maybe if you come during a festival or something, but don't bother coming here. It was a long walk out of the way for me and I regret it. It's nothing bad, just nothing at all.

Our hostel was close to this piazza so we went there a few times. It was clean, not so crowded as other squares in Florence and the whole vibe was lovely. I enjoyed the market on Sunday, there were stands of food, flowers, clothes, shoes and jewelry too.

On the ''other'' site of the Arno river you can find this square. It is very popular with locals and therefore especially crowded in the evening. The atmosphere is good and there are a lot of restaurants. The entrance to the church is free but the opening hours are still unknown to me. The square itself doesn't look that special.…
