We visited this small piazza again, located across from the Complesso di San Firenze and what a difference the year made. Gone are the souvenir kiosks, replaced by planters delineating the road and a unique sculpture. The restaurants are still there but without the kiosks, it just makes the square that much better for photos.

The saucer-shapedSan Firenze Square is located behind Palazzo Vecchio. Palazzo Gondi is located directly in front of it. The Complex of San Firenze is a 17th-century Baroque-style building, consisting of a church, palace, and former oratory, that is located on the southeast corner of San Firenze plaza. This is one of the smaller plazas in Florence, however, the architecture is nonetheless still ornate and worth seeing.

Investigating the old town, you hardly can avoid this small square. Probably numerous people like us, unintentionally visit it. To tell the truth, I even didn't know that I was there. Only when I was identifying my photos, found some from this piazza. Mostly the shiny oval disk caught my attention, that I found somehow incongruous in this historical surroundings. There are some places to eat and drink and think about the ever-changing world around you.

My hotel was situated on this Piazza and it was a really good choice (by luck). There are several good restaurants, gift shops, hotels and museums worth visiting. I'll stay here if I go to Florence again.

There’s quite a lot going on in this square, several pizza style restaurants and bars, tourist attractions and of course lots of tourists. There are a couple of hotels too, very good ones.

Interesting architecture and feel to this piazza. Ornate government buildings filled with people relaxing on the steps and taking in the sights.

On our evening walk back from dinner we discovered the Piazza San Firenze. We uploaded our pics but they barely do justice to the warmly lit facades on the three sides, each with completely different architectural styles. On the photo you will see the Baroque facade of the Complesso di San Firenze on the left, the Renaissance style of number 1 piazza di San Firenze on the right, and in the middle yet a third architectural style.

Located across from Complesso di San Firenze, this Piazza has a few restaurants and a small market area with some souvenir kiosks. It does offer a great place to take photos of both Badia Fiorentina and Museo Nazionale del Bargello.

This is a lovely little square, not far from the Uffizi gallery.
The square features a couple of lovely sculptures.

My wife and I walked through this piazza a number of times going back and forth as we investigated Florence. The buildings in the square as well as the surrounding view is fun to take in. While the piazza itself does not offer any 'wow' factor, it is a pleasant experience as you pass through to your next discovery.
