The Duomo of Taormina is in the main pedestrian street of Corso Umberto. It's an old stone structure with a pretty modest interior, not so impressive like other main Cathedrals in Italy, but still worth a stop and photo.

Upon strolling along Corso Umberto, we arrived at the Cathedral and we were lucky to see a wedding celebration going on. A local orchestra were playing Italian songs, the bride was beautiful and the guests were happy. We stood by the fountain and enjoyed the celebration.

The cathedral is quite plain as cathedrals go but is a quiet place in a very busy town. Go in, say a prayer, light a candle and enjoy the peace.

The main section of Taormina is small, so finding the Cathedral on the main street should be easy. It is worth a peak inside and a few photos.

This church caught my eye while sightseeing in Tarmina. An aged, common but popular place of woeship for the people here. How many people have passed through its doors over the years, good times and bed?

Take a break from the Sicilian heat and marvel at the interior of this cool building. The whole atmosphere is one of calm religion . Wonderful painting and religious iconography.
