This ancient (Norman 11-13th Centuries) Duomo proudly proclaims its origins with the ocat of arms over the portal. The massive squared arches guarding the entrance clearly have been purloined from a former temple or other Greco-Roman edifice, and once you step inside the Duomo you are very much aware of the stark simplicity, indeed serenity, of the place, as the... A beauty in Taormina. In the middle of the pedestrian street you will see this pretty Church in front of the square and it's fountain. Full of art inside where you cab find peace. After s pray you cab enjoy a caffe in the shops around or have a wonderful typical Sicilian lunch in the restaurants close be. Enjoy it!

You can get "churched Out" in Italy, so to the good ones have to be really good to stand out. Whilst in my opinion this is not one, it is however interesting to see. I would agree the square outside is great. Sit a while and watch the world go by.

Cant really avoid passing by this Norman cathedral, stark architecture, impressive roof and generally of interest in a place where not too much of interest compared with other Sicilian tourist centres once you've seen the Greek Theatre.

Well worth seeing, impressive interior, one can sit in the square outside, in the cafes, and admire the architecture.

Nothing special when compared to many other Baroque church in the area. But from the church parvis, one can take nice pictures of Taormina's main street & the clock tower.

Like so many churches in Italy, this one doesn't disappoint. I could spend the entire day in these spaces admiring the lovely and opulent murals.

The Duomo of Taormina is in the main pedestrian street of Corso Umberto. It's an old stone structure with a pretty modest interior, not so impressive like other main Cathedrals in Italy, but still worth a stop and photo.
