Check out the aerial view of this building on Google Maps. It might give you an idea of the labyrinthine experience when touring this museum. Great artifacts, but very little explanation of them in English. I would have loved to learn more about archeological opinions...More

This is the perfect place for Archeology lovers but the collection is perhaps too large for us, common folks! To see in its entirety is a somewhat tiring... In my view, they should perhaps reduce the number of pieces exposed and provide a better historic...More

If you're really into your Roman artefacts then you must come here. They have so much stuff that you need a good couple of hours here, but it's worth it. There is a nice garden too and you're very close to the Madonna Della Lacrime...More

A 20 minute walk from Ortigia, this museum had tons of relics from the Siracusa region dating back to 500 BC. The highlight was an exceptional collection if coins from that era and area.

A wonderful museum, but you should ideally select what you would like to see in advance, as there is so many fascinating exhibits from so many different sources.

This was one of the best things to see in Siracusa if you enjoy history and archaeology. Really an incredible collection, finely displayed. This is a don not miss!

The museum has one of the best collections anywhere. There are many terracotta vessels, stone carvings, capital statues, etc. There are several "lettered" rooms. Each room has a period them but it essentially a maze of sorts. I guess some thinks this layout is optimal,...More
