The lay out was superb, nicely spaced items, cases not overcrowded and the building was attractive but the contents were not at all impressive and definitely not worth the entrance fee. Some descriptions in English but very much briefer than the Italian text and not...More

Beautifully restored palazzo housing many, many religious paintings. Many on wood which were interesting. Also a little travel altar for Christians on the move. A couple of early models of Syracusa, one in ivory, were unusual. Lighting was very subdued and nice classical music playing. The...More

Did not know about this place until we saw the sign in the street. This is a nice museum to get you away from the streets of Ortigia for a while. Perfect location in an old Palazzo. Art from Roman/Byzantine to 19th-century. If you are...More

We spent a wonderful 1.5 hours here enjoying the gorgeous building itself including sympathetic modern additions, as well as the sculpture, paintings and amazing carriages and textiles, an absolute delight.

In case you feel like a bit of culture, you might enter to admire small altars of the region, gothic masterpieces. To be done in a bit less than 2h.
