While of course we agree that it's a pity that during the summer months a large percentage of the seats in the Greek theatre are covered in cardboard for the evening performances, nonetheless this site is still well worth a visit. We are fortunate enough...More

On of the poorest ancient cities I have seen. Doesn't really worth the entrance fee of 10 EUR. But while I was there a part was closed!

This site could be much better presented and interpreted for tourists - to us it indicated a lack of investment and pride from caring owners - very unfortunate as the parkland setting could be really enjoyable

If you have never experienced other Greek or Roman ruins, then go here. If you are fortunate enough to have seen the temples in Agrigento, don't bother. This site is disappointing in comparison. the part needs a lot of work. Only the Greek theater is...More

Latomia Del Paradiso are the remains of the huge limestone quarries that were dug out to build a large number of the buildings in the city. You can visit the gardens on the way to Teatro Greco and on a hot summers day I'd much...More

As a whole the Park is wonderful but it was spoiled for us by the amount of wooden seating which has been installed in order for it to be used for productions - even though all the advertising and the map leaflet issued on arrival...More

Shameful from start to finish. Very little in the way of informative signs or displays etc and virtually none of it in any other language other than Italian. What the f&%$ do they do with hundreds of thousands (millions?) of euros revenue that they must...More

We parked "at the bottom" in a parking lot. We had to walk a very long distance uphill to find the place to purchase tickets. It was not well sign posted. We kept asking staff where we could buy tickets and they just kept pointing...More

There are three main parts to the Park: the quarry, where slaves cut the stones for most of Ortigia, including the "ear of Dionysus," an underground portion of the quarry. In addition there is a nice Roman outdoor theatre where they do contemporary plays and...More

Hi Kristel, We walked from Ortygia, so I didn't really pay attention to street names and carparks. As you approach the park, you'll see the entrance to the park on one side of the road, and on the other, a large area with... More
