Visiting the temples on the top of the small mountain near Agrigento is very much worth the phot opportunity even if you are not a serious archeological student. It can be very hot in August so be prepared with some cold water which is sold...More

A very nice archeological park with rather thin offerings despite the amphitheater, caves and ruins...really not a whole lot...if you've been to other ruins from this time period, you won't go crazy here, but if this is an intro experience, it's a good start. Rather...More

Although it's a big park, two attraction is worth to see: Greek Theatre and fascinating The Ear of Dionissos. Walking inside a small subtropical canyon is also a lovely experience.

Its big but not to big, we managed with two kids, its a lovely walk around some ancient locations, greek theatre, Ear of Dionysius. The only pity is a huge section of the site that leads to Archimedes tomb is closed - major disappointment.

The trip out there was a bit disappointing. Not all the sites in the park were open due to safety reason so out of the 10 sites we actually only saw 4. The cave, Ear of Dionysius, was incredible don't get me wrong, but for...More

Overall I enjoyed my time there but I confess due to how hot it was I did not linger to look at things. Also, it was not clearly marked where you needed to buy your tickets - go past the cafe on your right and...More

To be clear, this reflects not on the quality of the archaeological sites themselves but rather that on the day we visited, large areas were roped off and inaccessible. The Greek amphitheatre I can understand, as it was being made ready for classical performances (2,500...More

It was full of interesting historical details. Make sure you take water and a hat and sunscreen. It can get very hot in Summer, but there is a cafe selling cool granita and trees to sit under in the shade

Our day started off in Syracusa with some obstacles since our guide book seemed to encourage visitors to go to see the ruins at Castello Eurialo. Don't waste your time nor money. We spent 20Eu each way by taxi because it is in another district...More

Hi Kristel, We walked from Ortygia, so I didn't really pay attention to street names and carparks. As you approach the park, you'll see the entrance to the park on one side of the road, and on the other, a large area with... More
