The church have a pretty exterior and the buildings lining it has a curved facade. It's worth a trip if you already are in old town.

Beautiful square beautiful city. The open space the imposing beautiful cathedral and the glow of the stone by the intense beautiful Sicilian sun. This is a great square we loved it

A very nice square, large enough not to feel crowded even though it typically is. Very picturesque, in fact they were filming part of a movie while we were there.

Same as all the old city of Ortigia, the Piazza Duomo is such a lovely place to visit both day, afternoon, and evening time. Take a cup of cappuccino at one of the cafes facing the piazza and enjoy life

This is probably the most beautiful piazza in the world. It simply overwhelms and one must return several times by day and night. It is not just a monument but a slice of life. Truely unforgettable

La Piazza Doumo is a must see. The buildings, church, courtyard, restaurants are amazing. Busy during the day. Nicely light at night.

Beautiful! Just amazing!
We were there in the summer of 2022, and it was crowded with people. Several restaurants in the area.
The architecture is unbelievable!
The night we were there, there was a movie festival, and the screen was set up on the street and open to everyone to attend for free.

It is a vast and majestic square with lots of nice old Baroque buildings, palaces: the Duomo, the Town Hall (Palazzo Municipale), Church of Santa Lucia etc. There are some bars and cafes nearby where you can relax.

The main plaza in Ortigia is a beautiful marble setting rimmed by classic 18th century buildings. In use all day and respectfully lighted at night for two distinctly different experiences, the Piazza is a treat almost any time of day. A convenient route for crossing the town so opportunities to enjoy it abound.
