We visited Ustica on a day trip from Palermo. This time of year the island is very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the village and then took the minibus to Punta Spalmatore (close to the Lighthouse) where we enjoyed the gorgeous sunny weather and some spectacular snorkeling! The marine life is amazing and that was just experienced whilst snorkeling! Hundreds... More

This beautiful volcanic island, just one and an half hour off in front of Palermo, is a real paradise for all those visitors who want to swim in crystal claer waters, dive among thousands of fish, eat organic food and walk along lava black cobblestone streets and country paths. A great place for an all nature holiday

Ustica is a small island and really beautiful. The stony shores are suitable for swimming and especially for snorkeling. Bring bathing shoes!! We cut out feet and hands on the sharp volcanic stones plus they're very hot. You can take the small bus to get around (even arrived somewhat on time but can be super later or too early too,... Great experience for a day arond Palermo. I took the ferry at 9:30, arriving in Ustica at 12:30. I had enough time (6 hours) to explore the island. The bus service (orange buses that follow the circular island road) are very reliable and cheap. There are so many hidden beaches that can only be reached by hiking or by boat.... More

Tiny island with very little to see in terms of architecture but still a nice place to chill. Something to bear in mind is we had problems with the hydrofoil getting to the island and it was actually cancelled when we tried to get back to the mainland a few days later.

I am absolutely yin love with this island. I had planned for a weekend in Palermo, but the city was too crazy for me, so I escaped to Ustica. Since it was off-season, there wasn't too much activity, but there is so much natural beauty that I spent the whole time outside. I walked the incredibly beautiful circumference of the... More

This was a nice day trip while visiting Sicily. Beautiful views and a great place for a boat ride. The caves and blue water are so inviting and lovely. Good place to kick back and just relax.

This is a place where we always go to escape from the city stress. Cristal clear waterswith a lot of fish species, organic locally grown food and beautiful views.

We always use the Ustica ferry service to visit and travel around Sicily and the Aoelian Islands. Affordable and fast even if they frequently are late.
