Its one of the big and known streets in Palermo. It is saied to be a shooping and glamorous street. But to be honest I cant see that. Sure, there are shops, some restaurants and cafes, but its absolutely mixed and not glamorous at all. If you plan to visit the street and walk along, you ll be disappointed. You... More

Probably can't help but traverse this road if you are in Palermo, with its mix of shops and restaurants and the assault of cars and motorbikes and pedestrians...it's rather daunting to cross the street, but that's not unique to this street, where who blinks first seems to be the rule. Take care.

Via Roma is the Main Street in Catania and we chose to stay on it at the Una Palace Hotel. It is a road with many shops and restaurants but it also has the most magnificent views of Mount Etna. A lovely place to promenade up and down and get a feel for Catania.

This is a long street crossing the city from east to west. It is a mixture of classic and modern buildings having many shops along.

We walked up & down this road many times whilst in Palermo. A large array of take-away restaurants, souvenir shops, clothes shops & more. You will know doubt walk along at least part during your visit, or en-route to the main train station. Not a specific tourist sight itself, but several sights are along this road.

We spent a day walking around Palermo, whist our cruise ship was berthed at the port. It was a Sunday and the centre of the city was relatively quiet.. The Via Roma is one of the main boulevards of Palermo. It contains a fascinating collection of shops, office buildings, churches, monuments, restaurants, cafes, bars and market stalls. It appeared that... More

Shopping Shopping shopping, this street is bustling day and night. Great place to watch people and for cafe's and ice cream.

What to say about Via Roma, the main street of the city, crowded and busy almost at any hour, it is not the main shopping street, although the shops are there but you will not find the fashion houses, but one thing is certain, walking along this road you will see an infinite number of monuments and places of interest.

One of the boulevards of the Hausmannization of Palermo. It runs from the Stazione Centrale, with a lot of discounted clothing stores which are generally good value, through to the richer side of the city, with lots of stylish and more expensive shops.

We walked this street multiple times going to various site seeing attractions. It was a nice direct route and we window shopped along the way. On Sunday it is very quiet. The street has many dog droppings on it (so watch your step) - not sure if it was because we were in February and that it is cleaned up... More
