Low rating as this was a very negative experience. We would have loved to have walked around but the entrance is 12 euros for 2 people. We only had a 20 Euro note so they would not let us in. The lady showed me she...More

Well worth a visit if you are interested in plants. Not the tidiest of gardens, but investigation reveals some novelty. Best time is the spring and autumn especially in those weekends when resellers bring plants for sale.

We visited the 1st morning of our holiday. It was a nice introduction to Palermo's nature and very relaxed. Remember sun lotion as can be exposed in some areas! Insect repellent worth wearing too as the following day found several itchy insect bites! There is...More

It's a nice place to relax and get some fresh, full of oxygen air. Nice getaway from the noisy and messy streets. Really liked it. As of collection of plants, it wasn't that impressive, but also, I'm no expert in the field.

Ideally situated just outside the city center, the botanic garden really offers a nice and quiet environment for a relaxing walk.

The second star is because they do have some interesting trees, but the smaller plants are hard to see among the fields of weeds, especially nettles, and in the back part of the park even the walkways are hard to make out. What a pity,...More
