For a fee you can walk through the ruin and get a guided tour. Nevertheless there are sidewalks around the small area of the surviving parts of this site. There is signage which tells about the history of the theater.

The venue is located in the city center of Catania. Parking on the street is difficult. The site is showing ruins of a Roman amphitheater. The site shows only a small part of the theater. The thing was huge in relation. Very interesting.

It is posible to walk around the ground level of this theatre. The pay booth is down a few steps and then you can go on around independently. However, from the amount of filth that we could see below ground we were very 'put off'....More
