The building is an example of Sicilian late baroque style, but other architectural styles were integrated. It is a part of UNESCO World Heritage List since 2002. The history of the building begins in 1558. I like the Church of San Nicolo L'Arena and the...More

for a conference it is the absolutely niciest place to stay. Only the surrounding is a bit chaotic. I liked the architecture and the way how it is used now.

I was impressed with the organisation of the tour and the kind assistance at the entrance. Also enjoyed the extra visit to the contemporary arts museum.

We didn't go in, and regret it. We went passed it on the mini train and it isn't finished on the outside. When we researched it, we wish we had gone in

An interesting place to visit; used to be a monastery, then left to decay but now almost largely rehabilitated. Contains pieces of history from different eras.

The tours are on the hour. They are in Italian but you are given an English script to read as you go around
