Sicily’s first nature reserve is extremely important for the abundance of rare and endemic plants, local fauna and the spectacular Uzzo Grotto, one of the first human settlements in the area.

We visited the park twice. First time we entered through north gate, it is located near San Vito de Capo, GPS 38*07'33, 92"N-12*47'16,83"E The path was great: cool breathe from the sea, green area around, amazing views and beautiful beaches with water all shades of...More

We stayed two nights inside the park in an old fishing cottage off the shoreline near Torre dell'Uzzo. We were two adults and two kids (seven and nine). We were there on Saturday and Sunday night in the middle of August so during the day...More

We went last week. We parked on the side of the road as we saw a lot of other cars there. Car park looked tiny but we had no problems where we parked. Entered from the North side and managed to go to Cala Tonnarella...More

We were beginning to wonder a little about the reserve when we pulled into the very rough surfaced car park, but felt a little better when we reached the entrance. Kids go free so no problem there. We had a buggy with us for the...More

We walked about half the track starting from the south to swim at the second beach. The scenery was stunning and beaches spectacularly refreshing. Whilst the walk wasn't too tough it was quite exposed so make sure you wear sunscreen! And bring thongs/flip flops for...More

We spent two days on the beach at Zingaro. The water is perfectly clear, and refreshing. The 20 minute walk was pretty easy, the only caution is the stairs if it's wet. Sicily is amazing as a whole, but Zingaro is something very special.

This was one of the best nature experiences that we have had in Sicily. You should plan to spend a whole day here, because it has 7 great beaches, all different but with the same crystal clear waters and waves... You walk from one beach...More

We visited Zingaro on a hot sunny fall day with very high winds (it was the only day that fit our itinerary). In fact it was so windy and the surf was so high that some of the sandy beaches outside the reserve were closed...More

We had proper hiking maps of Zingaro courtesy of Headwater holidays so in one day you can do a loop of the park and fit in a couple of hours swimming. As it was early September we set off by 9 am and all in...More

Bit late to reply apologies. You do have to pay. Unsure of cost to enter. The walk to the beaches depends how fit you are. I'd say I am quite fit and wouldn't describe it as easy but totally doable. Remember, there are a... More
