To reach the statue, which isimpressive, you need to pass through an area of giant boulders and mossy trees, which is very atmospheric. There are marked paths all over the hill. We found the people friendly at the ristorante-pizzeria nearby. The views to other mountains...More

We walked to the Monte Ortobene and took in the massive view. It is nice that they put the cell towers next door so they do not interfere with the statue.

Views are spectacular and there is a park for children to enjoy. Stalls selling local artefacts are dated....

from Monte Ortobene you can see and admire the view from the sea to the Gennargentu's montains. The walking path is nice, full of nature pleasant scent, expecially during spring. Such a pity to see pubblic buildings abandoned

Wonderful fresh air after the heat of the valley, and city. There is a bar/restaurant at the top and ice cream is available as well as the local beer!

Beautiful views across mountains and down into valley. The bronze statue of il Redentore near top of mountain well worth visiting.

The views from the top are great when you find them (follow the road near the top). The Pizzaria up there was unspohisticated but OK. Be sure to find the Retentadore statue (look for signs from the carpark).
