This church has so much importance for the original inhabitants of the capital of Sardinia. It is from here that the Island's major feast on 1st May starts from. Since 366 years ago and even during the WW2 bombings.

There are many churches in Cagliari and we explored lots of them! This one, the Chiesa di Sant'Efisio, in the old Stampace area of the city, had a lot of detail inside to enjoy. It dates back to 430 AD and should be on your list of places to visit when wandering in Cagliari.

Incredible interior

We had been told about the most famous saint in the area. The interior of the church holds a carriage for transporting the saint's effigy which is well worth seeing
