Enjoyed this museum as it covers the bronze and iron age very well. A good selection. Probably more suited to adults than children but shows the variety of archaeological finds in Sardinia really well. Allocate about 1-1.5 hours to see it properly. We paid for...More

When we visited the musea the first impression was oke, but not overwhelming. In hind sight this was because we went the wrong route, because halfway through the collection we found the most upper floor where we were blown away by the "giganti di monte...More

A superb museum, modern displays, with rich collections filling large cases. The whole of Sardinian Archaeology is here, and much of it is magnificent. There are clean toilets, good cafe, excellent souvenir shop. Closed on Mondays.

If you are in the center of Cagliari, you should visit this museum. The exhibits are presented in a clear, educational way. The explanations help to understand the history of the island and all the objects found in the archeological sites.

Schoolchildren have an area in which they can leave backpacks while touring the museum, but it is unsecured. The staff seem very helpful, and I'm sure they would be willing to put luggage behind the desk for visitors. I did... More
