We like to visit the local market if we have time. We did and enjoyed it. It’s located near the centre. The building itself is large and simple but inside the rich selection of goods is incredible! We just wandering among stalls and we were amazed. We bought fresh salmon, other fish and srimps, cheese, ham, olives to cook them in our apartment instead of eating in a restaurant. We ate lots of fruit, too. We enjoyed it!

I expected more. Our Monday midday visit saw many stalls closed and a lack of variety in the ones that were open. The meats did look fresh and enticing but the variety of fruits was disappointing.

Very interesting market for a look at typical foods of sardinia. We went on a Monday which I think is not the best day as most of the fish stalls were closed as well as a few others. It is extensive over two floors and still very much used by locals.

We visited the market during our stay in Cagliari and that was a nice visit.
So many good products, very nice and well-arranged shops and friendly people.
That is definitely worth the visit !

Fun visit, many fish vendors displaying the great variety the Mediterranean seas has to offer. Along with fish vendors, pasta, breads produce and meats. Nice and quaint, you get a feel of life in the town. Try to visit soon since they will renovate, May lose its old charm.

It’s just a good market. Fishes, meat, fruits. Regular food market. I’m not sure it’s really a tourist attraction? Rather a shopping place for local people.

This is a traditional indoor market where the locals shop which was amazingly laid out, colourful and precise. The fruit and veg was immaculate, along with the meat, cheese, bread, cakes and savoury pies was lovely to see, also tried a pie which was tasty. There were a few coffee stalls around where we had a coffee at one, it was a great experience mixing with the locals although not much English but managed to converse with a few of the butchers selling the horse meat and having a laugh. Worth a visit.

This is a two story local market that is loads of fun. We ambled through the fish section and then went upstairs. So many stands and types of products. Every time we would stop to look at the meats or vegetables, the vendor gave us samples. One place even gave us a whole bottle of wine to have with our meat and cheese samples. You get a realistic view of the daily diet and shopping of the locals. Extremely friendly and interesting place.
