We went on the trip to the grotto and it was a pleasant sail - €15 each. We couldn't really hear the occasional muffled commentary. The wind and, therefore, the waves picked up as we got to the grotto. The staff tried to put out the gangplank but it was bouncing around, so they quickly and efficiently brought it back... More

If you find yourself in Alghero on your travels you must visit the Grotte Nettuno. For 15 euros you take a boat trip of 1/2 an hour or so to the caves along some of the most beautiful scenery you can imagine. The boat will take you right in to the entrance where you disembark. You then have to pay 13... More

I like boats, so this review might be a bit biased. The tour is nice and refreshing, and the views are stunning. It's a good way of discovering the coastlines without much trouble and enjoying the evening in Alghero afterwards (if done in the afternoon). We didn't understand all explanations in english (we are french so we understood that part)... More

They provide a nice boat ride across the bay to Grotte di Nettuno, with commentary along the way in Italian and English. They also show you another grotto from the ship, which is basically a hole through a huge rock formation so you can see the sea on the other side, definitely a plus to the trip. However, what they... Excellent trip across the gulf to the Grotte di Nettuno. The Grotte is a very large limestone cave with most natural cave features. Only a shawl isn't to be seen. The guide offers commentary in at least three languages. Fantastic! The boat trip is pleasant.

The boat was ok, however when the waves rose, wasn't that much glad as it was going from side to side. The small bridge to enter the Grotto was dangerous as the sea was high and throwing us from side to side. The staff was but helpful, but next time I rather consider going by bus.

This is a brilliant place to visit if you dont mind the crowds that go with it, it can be quite busy when a boat arrives. I chose to walk down the amazing steps to get there, the steps of Mordor as I call them, there a destination in their own right!

This is a good value trip. It takes about 40 mins each way and then you can get off the boat and take a tour of the caves. It costs an extra 13euro for the tour. The tour itself is ok, but it's a bit slow as the tour guide gives the guide in 3 or 4 languages. The boat... More

This isn't a review of the Grotte - just a note to say the Navisarda boat took me back to Alghero when the one I was booked on from another company left the grotto with my daughter but without me! My fault entirely - I had stopped to take photos, whereas I should have kept up with the others. No... More
