Must visit in Sardegna, best views with restaurants, bars and gift shops. But the museum is poor. About an hour drive from Alghero.

We visited for a few hours with two kids under 4. The walk up the stairs isn't too strenuous and the views are lovely. Plenty of places to eat. The castle was ok but it is small so don't expect grandeur or quantity of things...More

Worth visiting if you have half day, the citadel offers stunning views. We have visited the place in the afternoon but did not have enough time to wait for sunset which I think will be awesome.

When you visti Castelsardo old town you can climb up to the citadel. Not spectaculair but oke for a visit. Nice views.
